The Doldersummerveld is an extensive heathland area surrounded by forest. Suitable all year round to see different birds. In autumn and winter, Grulla Común can be seen well, and also Aguilucho pálido. The Alondra Común can be found in the fields all year round. In the surrounding forests species such as Herrerillo Capuchino and Picamaderos Negro. Nice spring birds are Oropéndola Europea and Tórtola Europea. It is also a pleasant walking area. Beautiful nature and hikers are always scarce.

Nederlands: Het Doldersummerveld is een uitgestrekt heidegebied in een bosrijke omgeving en onderdeel van Nationaal Park Drents-Friese Wold. Het hele jaar door geschikt om verschillende vogels te zien. In de herfst en winter laten zich Grulla Común goed zien, evenals de Aguilucho pálido. Op de velden is de Alondra Común het hele jaar te vinden. In de bossen eromheen soorten als Herrerillo Capuchino en Picamaderos Negro. Leuke voorjaarsvogels zijn de Oropéndola Europea en Tórtola Europea. Daarnaast is het een prettig wandelgebied. Beeldschone natuur en wandelaars zijn er altijd schaars.

The Doldersummerveld is located directly north of the village of Doldersum. It is best to park at the Schaapskooi. Click on the P on the map for directions to the parking lot. From the parking you can start the indicated circular walk of 12.5 km. The walk can easily be shortened. At the Schaapskooi there is a small nature center/rest area with self-service coffee.

Nederlands: Het Doldersummerveld ligt direct ten noorden van het plaatsje Doldersum. Parkeren kun je het beste doen bij de Schaapskooi. Klik op de P in de kaart voor een routebeschrijving naar de parkeerplaats. Vanaf de parkeerplaats kun je de aangegeven rondwandeling van 12,5 km starten. De wandeling is gemakkelijk in te korten. Bij de Schaapskooi is een klein natuurcentrum/uitrustplek met zelfservice koffie voor een habbekrats!
