The Baarzandse Kreek is an old creek. You can look out over the area from a viewing platform. Ducks, geese and meadow birds know how to find the area in large numbers as a breeding ground and as a wintering area. Breeding birds that can be found here are Avefría Europea, Aguja Colinegra, Archibebe Común, Ruiseñor Pechiazul, Carricero Común and Aguilucho Lagunero Occidental. In the winter you will see large groups of Ánsar careto and Barnacla Cariblanca, many species of ducks, but also birds such as Avefría Europea, Chorlito Dorado Europeo and Zarapito Real.

Nederlands: De Baarzandse Kreek is een oude zeearm met omliggende drassige oeverlanden en de bloemrijke graslanden. Vanaf een uitkijkplateau kun je over het gebied uitkijken. Eenden, ganzen en weidevogels weten het gebied in grote aantallen te vinden als broedplaats en als overwintergebied. Broedvogels die hier voorkomen zijn Avefría Europea, Aguja Colinegra, Archibebe Común, Ruiseñor Pechiazul, Carricero Común en Aguilucho Lagunero Occidental. In de winter zie je grote groepen Ánsar careto en Barnacla Cariblanca, veel soorten eenden, maar ook vogels als Avefría Europea, Chorlito Dorado Europeo en Zarapito Real.

The Baarzandse Kreek is located east of Groede and south of Breskens. The area itself is not accessible, but you can have a nice view of the area from the viewing platform on the parallel road of the N676. Click on the P in the map for directions.

Nederlands: De Baarzandse Kreek ligt ten oosten van Groede en even ten zuiden van Breskens. Het gebied zelf is niet toegankelijk maar je kan het gebied vanaf het uitkijkplateau aan de parallelweg van de N676 mooi overzien. Klik op de P in de kaart voor een routebeschrijving. Beste om te bezoeken in de ochtend vanwege het licht, 's middags heb je namelijk tegenlicht.
