As soon as you arrive by ferry on Terschelling you actually already have a view of the bay of Dellewal. It is located just outside the village of West-Terschelling, immediately east of the harbor. The bay is located directly on the Wadden Sea. During high tide you can see thousands of waders here such as s Archibebe Común, Zarapito Real, Correlimos Común, Aguja Colipinta, Ostrero Euroasiático and Correlimos Gordo. But there is also a good chance of birds like Éider común, Tarro Blanco, Barnacla Carinegra and Espátula Común.

Nederlands: Dellewal is één van de belangrijke hoogwatervluchtplaatsen voor vogels op Terschelling. Direct als je aankomt met de veerboot kijk je eigenlijk al op deze baai uit. Dellewal ligt net iets buiten het dorp West-Terschelling, meteen ten oosten van de haven. De baai ligt dus aan de kant van de Waddenzee. Tijdens hoogwater kun je hier duizenden steltlopers zien zoals Archibebe Común, Zarapito Real, Correlimos Común, Aguja Colipinta, Ostrero Euroasiático en Correlimos Gordo. Maar ook veel kans op vogels als Éider común, Tarro Blanco, Barnacla Carinegra en Espátula Común.
