From the harbour and the pier of Ameland you have a good view of the many tidal parts of the Wadden Sea. A perfect place for resting waders. The birds forage and rest on the tidal flats. Many Aguja Colipinta, Archibebe Común and Ostrero Euroasiático can be found here. There are also many different types of gulls to see, such as Gaviota sombría and Gavión Atlántico, Gaviota argéntea europea, Gaviota Reidora and terns. Also keep an eye out for Porrón Osculado and Arao Común.

Nederlands: Vanaf de haven en de pier van Ameland heb je uitzicht op de vele droogvallende delen van de Waddenzee. Een perfecte plek voor rustende steltlopers. The harbour is located near the village of Nes on Ameland. Easily accessible by bicycle. Car park at the port. Note: paid parking.
