Cape Cross is a small headland in the South Atlantic on the Skeleton Coast. The reserve is the home of one of the largest colonies of Cape fur seals in the world. Because it is located directly on the Atlantic Ocean it is rich in marine birdlife.

Cape Cross is located on the C34 highway some 60 kilometres north of Hentiesbaai and 120 km north of Swakopmund. Follow the C34 northbound from Swakopmund until you turn off where you find the signs for Cape Cross.
