The population of the threatened Ibis Eremita is luckily increasing again in Morocco, thanks to good protection. In this area near Tifnit you have a very good chance to see them. Sometimes the Ibis Eremita can sit surprisingly close and are not shy. Especially when you use your car as a hide you can observe them well.
Along the Tifnit coast and beach you can also see several other coastal birds. For example Chorlitejo Grande, Zarapito Trinador, Vuelvepiedras Común, Correlimos Tridáctilo, Gaviota de Audouin, and above sea Alcatraz Atlántico and Charrán Patinegro.
