Descripción
Cape Ghir is one of the westernmost points on the Moroccan coast. Therefore, this is an excellent place to watch the bird migration at sea. The rocky promontory is easily recognizable by the lighthouse that you see from afar. Among the birds you can observe are Alcatraz Atlántico, Pardela cenicienta, Pardela Balear, Alca Común, Págalo Parásito, Págalo Grande, Charrán Patinegro, Zarapito Trinador, Charrán Bengalí, Gaviota Patiamarilla and Gaviota de Audouin. Also Ibis Eremita can fly by. Western winds bring most birds. A spotting scope is necessary for good observations.
