Descripción
Spring and autumn are best for this oasis. Passerines include Collalba Rubia, Alcaudón Común, Bulbul Orejiblanco, Cogujada Común, Curruca Cabecinegra, Curruca mirlona oriental and Curruca Tomillera. Wetland birds include 3 species of egret, Polluela Pintoja, Polluela Bastarda, Guión de Codornices, Martinete Común, Garza Imperial and Garcilla Cangrejera, Cigüeña Negra and Cigüeña Blanca. In the surrounding desert there may be Codorniz Común, Alcaraván Común, Buitre Leonado, Aguilucho Papialbo, Águila perdicera, Camachuelo del Sinaí, Desert Owl and Tristram's Starling. There is a raised walkway, hides and a cycle track.

By road the site is 70 miles east of Amman, where day tours, car hire and taxi hire are available. Advice is to carry plenty of water and avoid midday heat. The cycle route is 12 km and the raised walkway 3/4 of a km.
