St Ouen's Bay has a long sandy beach beach with a tidal range of up to 12 meters (one of the largest in the world), the beach is a good place for roosting gulls in autumn and migrant waders.
The rocky headlands at the north and south ends are good areas for breeding Tarro Blanco, Ostrero Euroasiático and feeding gulls, while the low rolling dunes behind the sea wall are a great area to spot Alondra Común, Tarabilla común, Collalba Gris and Aguilucho Lagunero Occidental.
