Descripción

The Red Canyon is part of Wadi Shani, which starts in the Sinai Desert and continues through the Eilat Mountains. The canyon is carved into red sandstone, creating narrow, colorful passages that are visually striking, especially when sunlight hits the reddish rock that lines the canyon. It then glows with an intense reddish color.

While this is a beautiful hike in and of itself to and through the canyon, it is also a really nice spot for birding desert bird species such as the Collalba Yebélica , Blackstart , Scrub Warbler , Camachuelo del Sinaí , Perdiz chúcar and the Perdiz Desértica.
