Arklow Duck Pond is quite a large body of water, near the coastline with few viewing areas out into the pond. Birding is quite nice at Arklow Duck Pond since its easy to access and provides a wide arrange of waterfowl and gulls of which can be seen from the flat land near the pond. Many times birds also will go on to the car park and flat land, so its not too hard to search for them. Easy to spot Ánsar común, Gaviota Reidora, Gallineta Común, Cisne Vulgar and Ánade azulón, but also good chance to see Zampullín Común, Carricero Común, Curruca Capirotada and Reyezuelo Sencillo.

Arklow Duck Pond is located just north of Arklow. Easy to reach on foot, by car or bike. Press P on the map for directions. Best to stay as long as you like, no tide stopping you. A circular walk around the pond is about 1,3 km.
