Örfirisey is a reliable spot to observe the birdlife of the Reykjavík bay. Especially in the colder times of the year. Bringing your telescope, a scan of the bay and horizon might produce birds like Pato Havelda, Cormorán Moñudo, Alcatraz Atlántico, Mérgulo Atlántico, Pato Arlequín and Serreta Mediana. You might also see Colimbo Chico and Colimbo Grande. Örfirsey has also hosted a male Negrón aliblanco every winter since 2014, proving it as a reliable spot for this vagrant. Overhead, Escribano Nival might pass, and along the rocks there might be Arao Aliblanco.
