The boat trip in the Steingrímsfjörður starts with sailing around of the island of Grímsey. On the island you can see colonies of Alca Común, Cormorán Moñudo, Arao Común and Gaviota Tridáctila as well as thousands of Frailecillo Atlántico flying overhead. Also good chance to see Fulmar Boreal, Arao Aliblanco, Éider común, Charrán ártico, Colimbo Grande and Colimbo Chico. On a guided walk you can hike up to the lighthouse. With an estimated breeding colony of around 60,000 Frailecillo Atlántico, this is one of the few tours in Iceland where you actually get to walk the island and get a close look at the birds.
