Descripción
The Vouvaris river lies just north of Achladeri, and flows into the Gulf of Kalloni. The area is good for common migrant species, like waterfowl, waders, gulls and some spots for songbirds. In winter, you can scan the open water of the gulf for wintering species, like Gaviota sombría, Zampullín Cuellinegro and Somormujo Lavanco. Near the shore, Martín Pescador Común can be found, and the river's edge is good for Lavandera Cascadeña.
The small inlets on the side of the river are old fishpens. These don't attract a lot of birds, but the surrounding mudflats and pools can be good for waders, like Archibebe Claro and Archibebe Común. The scattered bushes are worth checking for migrating shrikes and chats.
