Descripción
West of Porto Lagos lies several kilometers long Mandra Beach, consisting of one beach bar, one camp, one tavern, a line of summer cottages, and several temporary wetlands in the hinterland, usually flooded in winter and spring. In late June, I found only smaller lakes and a few ponds remaining.
There were quite a few Canastera Común (common and widespread in the area), Gavilán Griego, Escribano Cabecinegro, Alcaudón Común, Ostrero Euroasiático, Cogujada Común, Calandria Común, Cetia Ruiseñor. Soaring birds included Cigüeña Blanca, Pelícano Común, Pelícano Ceñudo, and Culebrera Europea.
