Descripción

The chapel of Agias Konstantinos and Eleni is located near the village of Eresos on the eastern side of Meladia valley. It's surrounded by several groves, which can be a great migrant trap during spring migration. Everything can show up in these groves, like flycatchers, warblers, Oropéndola Europea, Tórtola Europea and so much more. Locally, Carbonero Lúgubre breeds here.

The surrounding hills are great for inland species, like Escribano Ceniciento and Escribano Cinéreo.

Recommended is the walk/drive through to Sigri through the Meladia Valley proper (this chapel is not actually in Meladia Valley). The wider valley bottom is one of the best migrant hot spots on Lesvos.
