Descripción
The lagoon is the 'waterlily lake' mentioned by Gerald Durrell in My Family and Other Animals. However it appeared lifeless on my September visit. The island has 3 beaches, accessible by car, and good scrub and heath habitat favoured by warblers, Escribano Triguero, Autillo Europeo and Tórtola Europea. A pair of Águila Real were hunting over the wooded hills on return journey to Roda. Other birds you can enconter are Golondrina Dáurica, Vencejo Real, Avión Roquero, Curruca Carrasqueña, Curruca Cabecinegra and Curruca Mirlona.
