Descripción
Just east of the Polichnitos saltpans, the Almyropotamos river is located and runs towards the Gulf of Kalloni. You can search the river for migrating herons, egrets, storks, crakes and waders, like Polluela Bastarda, Cigüeña Negra and Correlimos de Temminck. The surrounding fields are good for flocks of wagtails, pipits and larks, like Bisbita Campestre, and the fences in the area are worth a check for chats and shrikes.
