Descripción
The Wurzacher Ried is the largest intact and contiguous raised bog in Central Europe and also one of the largest nature reserves in Baden-Württemberg. The area is home to special species that depend on bogland and also provides habitat for specific migratory birds. Breeding birds include Abejero Europeo, Polluela Pintoja, Grulla Común, Guión de Codornices and Pito Cano. Other birds that can be observed are Alcotán Europeo, Alcaudón Norteño, Alcaudón Dorsirrojo, Tarabilla común, Rascón Europeo, Zampullín Común, Cigüeña Blanca, Zarapito Real, Carricero Tordal and Milano Real.

The Wurzacher Ried is located directly north of the town of Bad Wurzach. There are parking spaces all around the reserve. The best place to park is near Bad Wurzach. Press a P on the map for directions. From the parking you can explore the aera on foot or by bike.
