Descripción
Waldhägenich is a 547 hectare natural landscape between the A5 motorway in the west and the town of Bühl and Ottersweier in the east. An area of scattered meadows, reed beds, alluvial forests, streams and orchards in the Rhine plain. A shallow wetland with a wooded area is created at the lake. The wooded strip on the lake has developed into a biotope for songbirds such as Ruiseñor Común and Alcaudón Dorsirrojo. Among the other birds you can see in the area are Mochuelo Europeo, Avefría Europea, Escribano Cerillo, Martín Pescador Común, Pico Picapinos, Carricero Común and Oropéndola Europea.
