In winter, Garceta Grande and Garza Real can often be observed on the meadows. The best time for this is early in the morning. The nearby nesting Cigüeña Blanca often forages at the river's edge. Both Ánsar común and Barnacla canadiense grande or Ánade azulón are frequent visitors to the biotope all year round.
Forest dwellers are also often found near the mill. Both Lavandera Blanca and Lavandera Cascadeña can be observed in the area. Songbirds such as Pardillo Común or other Fringillidae are also regularly seen.
