Descripción
With the designation as a nature reserve, in the Reinheimer Teich nature reserve open water areas with deep and shallow water zones were created again through damming and dredging. Today the area is a nationally important habitat for the European common turtle as well as breeding and resting place for numerous bird species. The beaver also lives in this area again.
