The Ockstädter Kirschenberg is one of the most important areas for the Colirrojo Real (be careful not to confuse it with the Colirrojo Tizón). The Colirrojo Real is represented here with over 50 territories and is considered to be endangered in Hesse. Other birds you can see in this area are Torcecuello Euroasiático, Gavilán Común, Agateador Europeo, Tórtola Europea, Alcaudón Dorsirrojo and Mochuelo Europeo.
