Here you can observe Garza Real, Martín Pescador Común, Lavandera Cascadeña and the Mirlo-acuático Europeo. In the forest you can see species such as the Carbonero Palustre, Pico Picapinos or Verderón Común.

NSG Hainbuchenwald in der Wupperschleife is located on the northern outskirts of Leverkusen along the river Wupper. You have to park either in the residential area or at the pedestrian bridge a little further away. Click on the P in the map for directions. The path indicated on the map is 1,2 km one way.
