Descripción
The Norddorfer Marsch is bordered by dunes in the west and an overgrown and overblown dike– and in the east bordered by an asphalt dike, which was built after the great hurricane flood in 1962. This wetland is a paradise for water birds with ponds and water ditches – although it is barely a square kilometer. During autumnal migration there are several hundred Silbón Europeo staying here. By mid-December at the latest, they will move across the North Sea to Holland. Barnacla Carinegra populate the marsh in their thousands in the spring. Of course also other geese like Ánsar común and Barnacla Cariblanca can be seen here. Also birds like Tarro Blanco, Ostrero Euroasiático, Chorlitejo patinegro, Zarapito Real, Aguja Colipinta, Correlimos Gordo, Correlimos Común and Archibebe Común can be seen.
