Naturschutzgebiet Sohlgrund von Erksdorf is a nature reserve of 26 hectares and features a diverse range of habitats, including wet meadows, reed beds and ponds. Because of the many different habitats in this small nature reserve you can also observe many different bird species. Birds you can observe include Bisbita Pratense, Lavandera Blanca, Cigüeña Blanca, Ruiseñor Pechiazul, Pito Real, Milano Real, Cernícalo vulgar and Tarabilla común.
