The small lake Mindelsee and its diversely structured shores host the highest number of breeding species in the whole region of Lake Constance (Bodensee).
The Porrón Pardo can be observed in autumn. A colony of Charrán Común nests on rafts in the lake. Also Rascón Europeo, Milano Negro, Pato Colorado, Picamaderos Negro, Pito Cano, Pito Real, Pico Mediano, Bisbita Arbóreo, Buscarla Unicolor, Carricero Común, Ruiseñor Común and Oropéndola Europea can be observed in breeding period. In winter Avetoro Común and Serreta Grande may be of interest.

Access by public transport: There is a bus from Radolfzell station to Möggingen. Markelfingen also has a train station.
Access by car: The most convenient parking lot is on the road between Radolfzell and Möggingen: "Parkplatz Mindelsee". Click on the P in the map to get directions. The circular trail around the lake that is shown on the map is about 9 km.
