Descripción

The Hollerner See is a 30-hectare quarry lake that was created on the site of a former gravel pit. Although the lake was only completed in 2019 and there are many bathers in the summer, many species of birds have settled there. Different species of ducks, Somormujo Lavanco, Zampullín Común and Ánsar común can be found on the lake. The geese use the lake as a breeding and moulting ground.

In spring and summer Carricero Tordal, Carricero Común, Escribano Palustre and Avetorillo común breed in the reeds on the shore. Chorlitejo Chico and Andarríos Chico can often be seen on the small island. In the area around the lake you can see Faisán Vulgar, Perdiz Pardilla, Pito Real and Escribano Cerillo all year round. Carricero Políglota, Zarcero Icterino, Curruca Zarcera and Mosquitero Musical in the summer months.
