The hilly landscape of Grüne Hölle is right next to the Luxembourg-Germany border and contains a varied forest, limestone cliffs and narrow gorges. It provides a lovely woodland birding walk, where one can find Picamaderos Negro, Pito Real, Carbonero Garrapinos and Colirrojo Real among many others.

Grüne Hölle is located just northwest of the village of Bollendorf. By car: One can park at the two spots marked P on the map. Press a P on the map for directions. Public Transport: The town of Bollendorf has a bus stop on the Luxembourgish side of the Sure river (star on the map) where buses from both the German and Luxembourg directions stop. It is then a 1.3 km, 25min walk to the start of the forest trails.
