The Freisinger Moos nature reserve consists of extensive grassland, moor grass meadows and other wetlands and bushes, reed beds and sedge marshes. The Freisinger Moos forms the link between the Erdinger Moos in the east and the Dachauer Moos in the west. The Moosach is the largest river in the Freisinger Moos and forms the main connecting axis to other wetlands.
The Zarapito Real breeds in the area. Meadow breeders such as Avefría Europea and Alondra Común can be seen. Sometimes Guión de Codornices can be heard. Other birds you can observe are Cigüeña Blanca, Curruca Zarcera, Curruca Zarcerilla, Alcaudón Dorsirrojo, Oropéndola Europea, Cuco Común and Escribano Cerillo. The Freisinger Moos is located immediately southwest of Freising, between Massenhausen, Vötting and Pulling. Press P on the map for directions to a parking spot.
