Descripción
This heathland is home to several birds, herps and insects that are rare or can't be found anywhere else in Hamburg and its surroundings, most importantly Chotacabras Europeo, but also Chocha Perdiz, Alondra Totovía and Búho Chico. Its also possible to find Adder, Sand Lizards and darters among the blossoming heath (best in August)

If you come by car, you can park at the car park "Fischbektal".
If you come by subway, you take the line "S3" and step off in "Hamburg-Neugraben". After this you can walk/bike the 2 km through the residential area or make a detour via the nature reserve "Moorgürtel" in the north.
