Descripción
The Feldberg is the highest mountain of the Black Forest and holds a variety of typical mountain birds of the region. Many breeding birds arrive late, so that a visit in May or June is particularly rewarding. Best spot for Verderón Serrano is around Todtnauer Hütte. Urogallo Común still occurs in the area, but is very difficult to find. Best chances for Pico tridáctilo are along the "Felsenweg" (northernmost section of the circuit). In some years Chorlito Carambolo rest on the alpine meadows in early September. Acentor Alpino and even Gorrión Alpino can be found occasionally in late spring, particularly near the monument on top of the mountain.
