The Erlensee lake is a local recreation area. The lake has an island in the middle and that island is a nature reserve. Very close by is a renaturalized area around the Landbach stream. This is now an impressive stream bed that is home to many animals during migration. Several bird species also breed in this area.

The Erlensee und Landbachaue is located near the village of Bickenbach. Access is possible via the car park at lake Erlensee and another car park, as well as from Bickenbach. Press P on the map for directions to a parking spot.
