At Bärenbrücker Teiche you can see especially in winter many ducks like Cuchara Común, Silbón Europeo, Ánade azulón, Ánade rabudo norteño, Cerceta Común, Pato Colorado, Porrón Pardo, Porrón Moñudo and Porrón Bastardo. And you can also find several species of geese like Ánsar común, Ánsar careto, Ánsar Campestre de la Tundra and at the narrow fields you can see Ánsar Campestre de la Tundra, Barnacla cuelliroja and Barnacla Cariblanca. In winter you can also find some Cisne Cantor, Cisne Chico and all year around many Cisne Vulgar.
In spring and autumn many limicoles visit Bärenbrücker Teiche. Waders such as Avoceta Común, Chorlito Gris, Avefría Europea, Chorlitejo Grande, Chorlitejo Chico, Aguja Colipinta, Correlimos Gordo, Combatiente, Correlimos Zarapitín, Correlimos de Temminck, Correlimos Común, Correlimos Menudo and Agachadiza común.

Bärenbrücker Teiche is located 15 km northeast of the city of Cottbus and immediately north of the village of Bärenbrück. From Dorfstraße you can drive with car or bike to a little road between Unterteich and Streckteich. At the middle of the little road is a little spot were you can parc your car. Click on the P in the map for directions to the parking spot. From there another little path leads to the Unterteich where most birds can be observed.
