The Baddeckenstedt Teiche are ponds that are located in the nature reserve Mittleres Innerstetal, about 6 km east of the Derneburg ponds. Numerous waterfowl breed here, including around 15 pairs of Zampullín Común , 1-2 pairs of Zampullín Cuellinegro and, for the first time in 2010, a pair of Somormujo Cuellirrojo. Occasionally, Somormujo Lavanco also breed. In addition to Ánade azulón and Cisne Vulgar, Porrón Moñudo, Porrón Europeo and Ánade friso are at home here.
