Among the most common, you most likely meet the Andarríos Chico, Andarríos Grande, Archibebe Claro, Archibebe Común, Agachadiza común, Correlimos Menudo, Correlimos Tridáctilo, Correlimos Gordo, Aguja Colinegra, Aguja Colipinta, Zarapito Real, Zarapito Trinador, Chorlitejo Chico, Chorlitejo Grande, Chorlitejo patinegro, Chorlito Gris, Avoceta Común, Cigüeñuela común, and many more!
On the Laridae side, it is possible to observe Gaviota Reidora, Gaviota Cabecinegra, Gaviota Cana, Gaviota argéntea europea, Gaviota Patiamarilla, Gaviota sombría, Gavión Atlántico, Charrancito Común, Charrán Común, Charrán Patinegro for the most common. The reserve is also a paradise for small passerines, in particular the emblematic Ruiseñor Pechiazul, but also Cistícola Buitrón, Carricero Común, Zarcero Políglota, Lavandera Boyera.

Réserve Naturelle Nationale de Lilleau des Niges is located south of the village of Les Portes-en-Ré. Parking is provided next to the Maison du Fier. Press P on the map for directions. It is possible to visit the reserve on foot or by bike. The circular walk indicated on the map is about 7.5 km.
