The Roman aqueduct of the Pont du Gard is an icon that is worth a visit in its own right. But you can also encounter interesting birds in the area. Abejaruco Europeo and Abubilla común are two striking birds that you can see in the wider area of the Pont du Gard. Milano Negro is a often seen and if you are very lucky you can spot the rare Águila perdicera (two pairs nest in the Gorge du Gardon). Other birds you can encounter include Paloma Bravía, Tórtola Europea, Vencejo Real, Garceta Común, Oropéndola Europea, Avión Roquero, Gorrión Chillón and Ruiseñor Común.
