Descripción
The ornithological park is an ideal site to observe birds, which include hundreds of Flamenco Común in their natural habitat. Permanent residents of the Parc Ornithologique de Pont de Gau include a number of species of heron, passerines and birds of prey. Large colonies of herons and egrets nest in the trees, whereas terns, gulls and Avoceta Común take up residence on the lake islands. Several species of passerine can be found singing and nesting in the reed beds and in trees, bushes and hedges throughout the Park. Winter visitors in the Camargue include ducks, geese, Grulla Común, birds of prey and a number of rarer species, such as the tiny Pájaro-moscón Europeo. You have to pay an admission fee.
