Descripción
Neuvry is a very good spot for waterbirds, and also for local rarities. Gaviota Cabecinegra and Gaviota Reidora breed in small numbers, as do Pato Colorado , Porrón Moñudo and Zampullín Cuellinegro. Garcilla Bueyera, Garceta Grande and Garceta Común are all regular. Waders are quite common in stopover, especially Tringa sandpipers. Agachadiza Chica winters in the area.
Gaviota Enana , Fumarel Cariblanco, Fumarel Común and Águila Pescadora are regular. This also a good place for ducks in migration period. Among the recent rarities are Archibebe Fino , Garcilla Cangrejera , Pato Havelda , Somormujo Cuellirrojo , Correlimos de Temminck and Charrán ártico.

Accesso
The gravel pit is located directly north of the village of Neuvry. By car only (no train station around). You can go first to the western bird hide, and then walk along the eastern shore of the lake on the dirt road. Be careful, driving is forbidden on the dirt road around the lake, you're in a Natural Reserve, you may be fined. The circular walking route is about 4,5 km.
