Le Champ Virlois is interesting for several reedbed species, including Ruiseñor Pechiazul, Carricero Tordal, Carricerín Común, Avetorillo común, Rascón Europeo and Aguilucho Lagunero Occidental. Pájaro-moscón Europeo has been spotted in stopover and crakes are possible.
In the surrounding forests Camachuelo Común, Alcotán Europeo, Mosquitero Musical and Milano Negro are quite easy to see. Alcaraván Común and Porrón Osculado can be found at the surrounding gravel pits.
