Descripción
Etang du Gallardon is a lake located between the river Seine and the town of Verneuil-sur-Seine. Among the more common birds, you will see manyBarnacla canadiense grande, Cisne Vulgar, Ánade azulón, Gallineta Común, Martín Pescador Común and Lavandera Cascadeña year-round.
During the spring, you will be welcomed with Charrán Común, Golondrina Común, Avión Común, Vencejo Común and many other singers. During migrations, you will occasionally find shorebirds on the gravel edges of the lake. Most common will be Andarríos Chico, Andarríos Grande and Avefría Europea. But, if you are lucky, a Correlimos Común or a Archibebe Común will await you ! Winter is the most interesting season for the site, as many ducks and other laridae are coming there. Among the most common figure the Cuchara Común, Ánade friso, Cerceta Común, Porrón Europeo, Porrón Moñudo, Gaviota Cana and Zampullín Común. But, there are yearly reports of much rarer birds ! Zampullín Cuellirrojo, Serreta Mediana, loons, Porrón Osculado have been seen a few times in the last decade.

Etang du Gallardon is located between the town of Verneuil-sur-Seine and the river Seine. From the A13, take the 8th exit and follow the "Verneuil-sur-Seine" signs. You can park in front of the lake, there is a public and free parking lot.
