Embouchure du Var is the mouth of the river Var in Saint-Laurent-du-Var and a hotspot in the Alpes Maritimes for wetland birds. A walking path runs along the river and the reed beds are very suitable for observations as are the islets during the reproduction of terns. Among the birds you can observe are Pagaza Piquirroja, Charrán Patinegro, Fumarel Aliblanco, Garza Real, Cernícalo vulgar, Cernícalo Patirrojo, Martín Pescador Común, Cormorán Grande and Gaviota Patiamarilla.

To get there, take the A8, exit 49 St Laurent du Var then park in the south car park of the Cap 3000 shopping center. Click on the P in the map for directions. From the parking walk towards the beach.
