In spring and fall, Anse du Galon d'Or is a good spot for Águila Pescadora. In the reeds, you can observe Cistícola Buitrón and Rascón Europeo. While in the marshland, with a bit of luck, you may see Curruca Rabilarga. There are also Zarapito Trinador, Garceta Común, Tarabilla común and, during migration species such as Tarabilla Norteña and Collalba Gris.
In the neighboring pine trees, Papamoscas Cerrojillo and Papamoscas Gris hunt during migration, as well as Colirrojo Real, Mosquitero Musical and other species. Bisbita Campestre can be observed in the dunes. At high tide, gulls, terns and groups of limicoles come onto the beach. Note that you have to take a different route along the inside of the bay at high tide. See a link to the tide table below.

Anse du Galon d'Or is located west of the town of Ronce-les-Bains. You can park on the Parking du Galon d'Or. Press P on the map for directions to the parking. There is also a beautiful cycle path (Parcours Vélo N°4) through the forest (forêt domaniale de la Coubre). The circular route shown on the map is about 2 km.
