Haga Slätten is easily accessible from different directions on public roads. It is an area of fields and beaches. Migratory birds gather here for several weeks, both in spring and autumn, e.g. large numbers of Cisne Cantor and different types of geese like Ánsar común, Ánsar careto and Barnacla canadiense grande.

Haga Slätten is located on the Åland Islands, an archipelago with 6,700 islands at the entrance to the Gulf of Bothnia in the Baltic Sea belonging to Finland. You can travel by ferry from both Sweden and Finland. The shortest ferry connection from Sweden is the one from Grisslehamn with Eckerö Linjen or from Kapellskär with Viking Line. Both ferries take two hours. From Finland you can travel on ferries from Turku and Naantali both in the morning and evening. There’s a ferry connection from Helsinki to Åland as well.
