Descripción
Helnæs is an island on the southwestern coast of Funen connected to the Funen mainland by a dam. On Helnæs you can find the enormous meadowland of Maden, west of the town of Helnæs. Almost 300 hectares of meadows and fields lie behind the beach ridges along the Little Belt. The flat land at Helnæs Made stands in stark contrast to Bobakkernes hilly green terrain. At Maden you can make a nice walk along a marked route of about three kilometers. Among the birds you can see in the area are Barnacla Cariblanca, Tarro Blanco, Cuchara Común, Ánade rabudo norteño, Perdiz Pardilla, Zampullín Común, Somormujo Cuellirrojo, Avoceta Común, Chorlito Dorado Europeo, Avefría Europea, Zarapito Real, Agachadiza común, Bisbita Pratense, Escribano Cerillo, Escribano Palustre and Alondra Común.
