Descripción
The Nature reserve Nový rybník is an important breeding site for many reedbed birds such as Ruiseñor Pechiazul, Rascón Europeo, Carricero Tordal, Carricerín Común, Carricero Común, Aguilucho Lagunero Occidental, Gallineta Común or Escribano Palustre. On the pond itself breed many pairs of Gaviota Reidora (the only occupied place in Plzensky region), Ánsar común, Focha Común, Ánade azulón and a few pairs of Ánade friso, Porrón Europeo and Porrón Moñudo. In the rural areas and meadows breed Alcaudón Dorsirrojo, Buscarla Pintoja, Carricero Políglota, Curruca Zarcera, Ruiseñor Común, Alondra Común and many others.
During the spring migration you can see birds such as Tarabilla Norteña, Tarabilla común, Cerceta Carretona, Fumarel Común and many other species of waterfowl. In last years Grulla Común is a regular guest here, especially in spring time. In late summer and autumn there is little water, which is suitable for Agachadiza común, Avefría Europea, Andarríos Bastardo and other waders. In winter Alcaudón Norteño is a regular visitor.
Many birds come to spend a night in the reedbed, especially in the end of summer. It is the best place in the area where to watch Estornino Pinto murmuration (thousands of birds). You can also see Golondrina Común and Lavandera Boyera.

Accesso
Easily accesible by car. There is a small parking lot in the south of the pond. You can also arrive by public transport using a bus to the city of Líně and then 20 minutes walking using the unpaved road.
