There have been recorded more than 250 birds species. It is a nesting site of the in Silesia rare Bigotudo and there are nesting some other rare birds like Avetorillo común , Ruiseñor Pechiazul and Camachuelo Carminoso. It is also a popular bird stop during migration time. In Spring you can see there for example Collalba Gris , Buscarla Unicolor , Gaviota Cabecinegra , Águila Pescadora and sometimes even Carricerín Cejudo and Carricerín Real.
During the Autumn migration you can see many species of waders like Correlimos Común , Combatiente , Correlimos Menudo , Correlimos Zarapitín , Archibebe Oscuro , Andarríos Bastardo and some other. Also you can observe Polluela Pintoja or Rascón Europeo.
In Winter it is an ideal place for watching Bigotudo and if you are lucky you can see wintering Avetoro Común or Pardillo Piquigualdo .
Various bird rarities were also recorded here: Falaropo Picofino , Vuelvepiedras Común , Andarríos del Terek , Aguja Colinegra , Correlimos Gordo , Gavión Cabecinegro , Charrán Patinegro , Charrán ártico , Golondrina Dáurica , Aguilucho Papialbo , Gaviota de Sabine , Carricerín Cejudo , Carricerín Real and many others.

The location is inaccessible by car, so it is best to park somewhere in Ostrava and walk to the location or go by bus. I recommend a walk along the western side of the pond. You can make a circle around, but if you want to see some reed birds, it is best to wait near the reeds or go on one of the fishing bridges (but be careful, it can be dangerous).
