In Pisarovina Fish Ponds 183 species of bird have been recorded on ebird. See link below. This includes 3 species of shrike, 2 crakes, Cigüeña Negra, Cigüeña Blanca, Pigargo Europeo and Águila Pomerana. Also Ruiseñor Común, Fumarel Común, Zarcero Icterino, Tarabilla común, Buscarla Fluvial in summer. Ruiseñor Común, Serreta Mediana, egrets, Garcilla Cangrejera, Porrón Pardo on the waters.
Roe deer, beech marten, otter, wild boar, wildcat, snow vole, edible dormouse and 12 species of bat may also be present.

Accesso
Located between the Kupa river and the Draganic forest, on the D36 highway, 25 km northeast of Karlovac, and 25 km south of Zagreb. There are small laybys on the D36 marked on the map, one with a walkway access to the water, an offroad track (see photo) just south of Varionika brewery, and a car park on Ul. Vladimira Nazora, opposite Jamnica - enquire there about permission. It gets very dry here in summer and may flood in winter.
