Very good mosaic of different habitats, providing suitable conditions for big variety of birds of different groups. Traditional and nature friendly agriculture practices allowed presence of birds as Carraca Europea, Abubilla común, Alcaudón Chico, Mochuelo Europeo and other. The cliffs on the slopes provide nesting sites to the Trepador Rupestre Occidental, Cigüeña Negra, Cuervo Grande and other. On the stony and bushy slopes Perdiz chúcar, Collalba Rubia, Zarcero Grande, Curruca Carrasqueña, Curruca Cabecinegra and Curruca mirlona oriental can be seen. Gavilán Griego keeps to the tree belts along the river, where Alcotán Europeo can be observed, too. Cigüeña Blanca nests in the little hamlets in the area are nesting sites of the Gorrión Moruno.
