The reserve (called 'Baltata') is old natural forest next to Albena Resort and is good place to see Pito Cano, Pito Real, Pico Picapinos, Pico Mediano, Pico Menor and sometimes - Picamaderos Negro, and other forest birds from the asphalt paths of the resort. The terrace of the tallest building of the resort (Dobrudzha Hotel) is an excellent watch point to observe the flow of migrating Pelícano Común and almost all raptor species of Europe. Papamoscas Papirrojo, Colirrojo Real and other passerine birds cross the area during migration as well.
